Our Story

Fifty-plus years on Airport Road.

Lakecrest Baptist Church was planted to serve families in Waterford, and that calling has shaped every year since. The faces change; the foundation hasn't.

The Lakecrest Baptist Church building, Waterford, Michigan

We began as a small group of believers committed to preaching the Bible plainly, raising children in the fear of the Lord, and reaching the neighborhoods around Pontiac Lake. Today the same convictions drive our Sunday worship, our Spanish service, our Christian school, and our bus ministry.

What you’ll find

A friendly, family-style congregation. Hymns and Scripture reading. Plain preaching from the King James Bible. Children welcomed (and loud), teenagers known by name, and seniors cherished. No fog machines — just faithful, week-by-week ministry.

Lakecrest Baptist School (LBS)

The church operates a K–12 Christian school on the same campus. Students grow academically and spiritually in small classes, with chapel, athletics (basketball and cheer), and fine arts woven into the year.

“Other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.” — 1 Corinthians 3:11

Meet our pastor

Pastor Kevin Dail
& his wife.

Pastor Kevin Dail shepherds the Lakecrest family with patience, plain preaching from the King James Bible, and a deep love for the people of Waterford. Alongside his wife, he leads a church that takes Scripture seriously and still feels like home.

If you have a question about the Bible, the gospel, or what membership at Lakecrest looks like, he would love to sit down with you. You can reach the church office to set up a time — there is no pressure and no agenda but yours.

The Great Commission

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.”
Matthew 28 · 19

We baptize by immersion, the way the early church did — picturing being buried with Christ and raised to a new life (Romans 6:4). If that is a step you are ready to take, we would love to walk it with you.
